Elle est souriante - She smiles

"...last nite moon said to me, if your friend is not messaging you, why don't you leave your friend. I looked at moon and said does your sky ever leave you when you don't shine...?"

This was an sms sent by one of my few female friend whom i got to know back then, when i was a student in Gombak.

Lately i have been receiving a healthy dose of messages and e-mails from my female friends- several of which i knew while the rest i can barely recalled.

And for the past weeks, i have been bombarded again, by that inevitable question of marriage - one from my Pengarah during staff meeting, one from a colleague at cafe and several others from my own relatives.

Another colleague of mine proposed to be my middleman. He has a list of names (an A-list that is) comprising of lecturers, lawyers and teachers.

I smiled at this collection of coincidences. I am loved! Will i ever then? Ameen.

Heavenly Heaven

The sweeter side of life...

Last week has been great. However, I had mental torments along the way though. I was assigned to 'escort' a colleague to Kuantan on Thursday. The downfall about tagging along this senior colleague of mine was that i had to listen to his incessant campaign to join his way towards 'a greener pastures' by becoming a direct-selling agent. I was brainwashed starting from Genting-Sempah up to Gambang.

Fine. I nodded ever obediently to his arguments. Neither that i said i am gonna signed up nor i objected any of his reasonings.

The fresh sea breeze and a dip down Hyatt's deep blue pool was indeed heaven! I was for a second, drifted by the sheer beauty of the South China Sea.

I arrived in K.L just in time to catch the Mak Yong perfomance at I.B. We (Amy, Mya and the K.Ys) had mixed feelings about the performance though. After the performance, Amy, Mya, Sham and i went to Naili's at Sentul for a mini birthday bash to celebrate Mya birthday.

On Saturday nite at K.Y, we (the K.Y members) had serious discussion about marriage life. Our blissfully married friend, Hazem shared his experience about what it was like to be someone's husband, the responsibilities and the 'politics' in bed. We were mesmerised by his vivid descriptions on what its like to be in bed with the opposite sex. huhu.

On Sunday we scouted for gifts at IKEA. I owed Amiey and Mya gifts each for their birthdays. Come nite, we spent time at Shah's house for 22nd AJL.

Fais de Beaux Re^ves

or simply means "Sweet dreams.."

I learnt this from my tutor Madmoiselle Lin - a bubbly, 30 something celebataire (bujang aka dinch marrien) lady from Shah Alam.

Ever since i joint the class, my whole worldview on lifelong learning has changed drastically. I am more ready to embrace the realm of student-hood and everything alma mater has to offer. I am passinonate to learn and keep learning. I am moved by the sheer spirit to improve one-self as rightfully depicted by Haron, Mitch and several others of my good friends.

Let us learn and keep discovering.

Kindred spirit

It's been a while since my last posting last year. The hiatus though was not due to anything big, not that i am bogged by work or anything. I was time and again succumbed to that ever repressive force of procrastination and 'malas'.

The year 2008 has been thus far great in the sense that quite a number of things have been 'corrected'. My relationship with my KY mates and office mates have been good albeit some hick ups here and there. My mom has been tolerating with me quite amazingly. I have started to live my life in an orderly manner and have been enrolling in a couple of language classes.

I have one thing that i need to overcome with. The fear to fly.

I just need to relinquish my courage to fly again.

I just need to fly...
